The addition of a sack of wheat malt to the barley grist gives a cloudy haze to our flagship beer. A twist of orange peel essence marks this beer out from the ordinary, whilst English Cascade and Czech Bobek hops give floral notes and the zesty bitterness that brewers call ‘moreish’. Available in Capital Pub Co pubs.

Cask handpull at The George Aldwych. Hazy gold lasting white head. It’s a light gilden ale bit of body some lemon and fleshy citrus on the finish. Not great nick but flavours are ok in a lemon lime kiwi thing.

Cask at the Florence. It pours cloudy gold with a small white head. The nose is wheat, earth, hay, soft orange, light toast and spice. The taste is smooth, wheat, light bitterness, floral, touch of spice and tangerine with a dry finish. Light-medium body and s oft carbonation. Nothing wrong with it, just fairly uneventful... So-so.

Cask at the Florence on 1st June 2011. Clear amber with thin offwhite creamy head and initiall lacing. Honey aroma with herby note and ginger touch. Main taste in-mouth is initially quite sweet - berry fruits, then rich grassy hoppiness arrives second. An increasingly bitter finish; velvet smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant rounded premium ale, flavour best derived through large, rather than small, sips.
