Full pint on cask, shared with Finn at Playhouse (JDW). Off-white head slowly diminishing over a copper coloured body, clingy lacing on the glass. Semi-sweet smell of caramel and dried fruits, inviting. Fine blended taste profile of prunes, and brittle caramel. Lightly roasted malty ending, mid-sweet. Medium bodied. Pleasing. (Colchester 23.11.2021).

Delt med Rune. Ultramørk amber. Lavt luftig skum med litt farge. God karamellaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Snaken også karamell. Lett tørr bitter avslutning. Gjennomgående karamell. Uvariert.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark ruby brown with a small, lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dried fruits, fruit cake and a touch of chocolate and very light spice. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium plus body, slight oily and chalky texture, soft carbonation. Decent brew, more a winter premium bitter/ESB than a porter.

500ml bottle: BBD end of Dec 14. I know this is supposed to be a winter brew but I poured it into a UK pint sleeve on 30th July 14 and it went down very nicely. Lovely looking beer, teak red body with a full, deep lightly tanned foaming head. Malty nose and taste with a wintery spicy flavour coming through also. Good semi-sweet malty molasses rule the overall feel to the brew: I like malty/sweeter brews and this sits nicely into my range of happiness. I like this breweries beers and this is one of their best.
