clear brown, smooth beige head. rye bready malty, sweet malty aroma.mild dark caramellish notes. flavor is faint plastic, malts, dark caramel,faint peppery bitterness, pretty strong but some way from the best quad’s i’ve had. could remind me a little of chimay blue,I don’t like that one much either.

500 ml bottle, as Skagen 500 Munkeøl, shared by my beerpal Olav. ABV is 9.0%. Hazy dark brown colour, low beige head. Moderate spicy and dusty aroma. Fairly pleasant spicy flavour, hints of liquorice.

Draft. A dark amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

From tap. Pours dark amber with a fully gone head. Toasted malty and caramelish. Verripe fruity and dense malty. Fruity and dense malty. Bitter and dark malty. Light caramelish and dense overripe fruity.

On tap. Pours a clear dark orangey brown with a tiny off-white head. Rich malty nose, with a lot of overripe dark fruit and some Belgian yeast. Rich, rich body, heavily sweet, plummy. Alcoholic finish. Lovely. 110512

Draught. Sweet brown sugar aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Almost no head. The flavour is sweet, caramelly, spicy, some brown sugar, cookie spices.
