Bottle from BR R - taking that for Beer Revolution. Probably in the frig for 6 months. Pours clear but dark ruddy brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of brown ale type malt. A little hop spice too - maybe even a hint of cinnamon. Med minus body. It’s a bit sweet - not very hoppy. There’s some lightly greasy nuttiness. And it’s finishing very lightly astringent and dry. Something changed there. Fairly tasty.

This nut brown poured a cloudy very deep amber/red colour with a minimal, tan coloured head. Very soapy looking. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, brown sugar, wine and alcohol. First sip was thin and lifeless. Probably the worst nut brown I’ve ever had. Too bad really since I love Ska! Anyways, tastes of old books and over ripe fruit along with vermouth/old wine top it off. Finish is like chewing old paper with that old weak homebrew wine on the palate lingering. Hopefully I just picked up a bad bottle.

Fudge, peanut, and walnut nose. CLear brown, no head. Thin mouthfeel, little body. Maple syrup flavor, sweet. little hop flavor. Nutty throughout. More of a SEBA, given its color and lack of hops.

Bottle as shown at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear amber with a medium frothy off white head that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is Light roasted malt and nuts. Medium mouthfeel with a rich malt with caramel and raisin. Easy to drink, a good brown ale frkm SKA.

bottle thanks to StFun, pours light brown, very lively with a tall off white head. Aroma is spicy dusty hops, toasted caramel malts, some fruity yeast. Flavor is spicy and very crisp. Boatloads of carbonation here. Toffee and toasted nutty malts end with a mild earthen hop presence. Not bad, but the carbonation needs to be scaled down.

12oz bottle. Filtered burgundy-brown color. Thin, patchy off-white head. Sweet, sugary, caramel rich, malt aroma. Medium bodied, somewhat watery. Light caramel stickiness, some mild nutty flavor. A little soapy astringency. Sort of boring, unimpressive.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear nut brown, huge lively head. Mild perfumy nose. Sweetish with excessive carbonation and medium body. Short fruity salty flavour, the slightest touch of tobaco, low bitterness. Empty anf harsh, fizzed up and pointless.

On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Asheville, NC. Wow, nice looking brew. It pours a striking amber with creamy top and bubbly underneath tan head. The aroma is full of rich malts and nuttiness and a touch of chocolate too. The taste is sort of Newcastle like but richer and chewier which is a very nice feature. It is nutty, sweet with malts and seems kind of lager-y with yeast. After a few ounces this thin bodied beer gets pretty sweet.
