This fresh, light, award-winning beer delights with its grassy, crisp taste and zippy floral aroma. Flavours of white grape and melon develop to reveal a subtle bitterness... a taste that is quintessentially English. Perfect with chicken and pasta - and exquisite with fresh Dorset fly-fished trout.

Bottle from B&M. Gold beer thin white head. A very bland malty sweet beer. Not nice.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma is floral, fruity and grassy. Taste starts light sweet malty with toffee and honey notes, following is mild fruity, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pretty palatable thirst killer...

Bottle at home from a gift set. Bright gold, like a lager but deeper in hue. Fast-fading head and lots of bubbles. Smell is flowery, perfumed: rosewater with lagery malts. Weird. Taste is very sweet and artificial, again with a Turkish delight theme. Some bitterness pops up if I slurp great gulps. I try it from the bottle to ensure that it isn’t my glass (it isn’t). Final verdict: strange and a bit of a pointless beer, but not altogether bad. Badger core range beers are often fairly simple & inoffensive but good. So why are they mucking about with this sort of thing?

Xmas present bottle; clear golden pour with a soapy white head, grassy aroma, taste has a hint of sweet honey and some floral action and a bit of skunk.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a broken frothy white head. The aroma is malty and aromatic hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth malty bitter hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A super refreshing summer ale. Really liked this.

Also called England’s Own, this is a clear golden ale with no head. It is distinctly Badger in taste with a soapy mix of mild hops and zesty fruit.

Aroma is like hair removal cream. Disgusting! This comes through in the flavour too together with quite a floral taste.
