33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Pours black with a rather small, beige to light brown head. Roasty aroma with lot of chocolate, dark bitter chocolate, dark fruits, hints of dark fruits, coffee, wood, licorice, alcohol and liqueur. Rather sweet and chocolaty with a moderate bitterness. Full bodied with pretty soft carbonation. Tasty and desserty winter warmer. (MHT: 06.2014) --- Beer merged from original tick of Kunstner øl No. 4 on 05 Mar 2015 at 23:15 - Score: 8

Thick and black with small, brown head. Fruity, roasted, soy sauce aroma. Very thick and creamy, syrupy mouthfeel with immediate bitterness followed by more fruity roast and dark chocolate. Warming alcohol and long, sticky finish. Seriously good stuff.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large deep brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt is pretty dominant with light dry raisins notes also perceptible. Taste is dominated cocoa with deep creamy black chocolates notes with some light dry roasted malt notes. Light lactose notes are also doing a pretty good job of offsetting some of the dryness. Body is full with super nice creamy body with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I wasn’t expecting much since I couldn’t read the Danish label but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle at home. Pours a pitch black colour with a creamy, coffee-brown, medium head. The aroma is dominated by roasted tones with both sweet and dark chocolate, coffee, wood, lactose, nougat and some alcohol in the end. Very nice! More chocolate in the flavour at first, and then fading into a roasted and espresso-like finish that lingers. Incredibly soft and rich mouth feel, and has a medium bitterness. A wonderful and well-balanced imperial stout with a nice chocolate touch. A very pleasant beer experince.

Bottle @ Kick mat & Malt. Black body with a small beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, roasted coffee and a hint of liquorice. Flavor is sweet, dark, mild roasted malt, dry fruit, coffee, pine and quite bitter. I did not found much of the peat here, might have faded a bit as this was consumed December 2013? Fine body and lovely aftertaste. All I all a really nice and balanced imperial stout with pretty well hidden alcohol.
