Imperial stout aged in Willett rye whiskey barrels for 11 months before being transferred to 10 year old Henry McKenna bourbon barrels and aged an additional 9 months. The beer was then treated with coffee beans and dark maple syrup.

Pours black, no head. Scent is fairly boozy, less adjunct forward. Taste is full, roasty, intense barrel, loads of wood. Sweet, chocolate. Maple is hidden. Bit boozy. Not my fav version, i prefer more maple and less boozy, but certainly a great beer !

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, caramel, coffee, coconut, vanilla, taste is similar, meaty, maple syrup, quite intense and boozy. 4.3
