65cl bottle @ Pikkulintu. Dark brown color with a beige head. Strong blueberry aroma, quark/ yoghurt like dessert. Flavor is blueberry juice, grain, chocolaty notes. Sweet chocolate continues in the finish as well. Hides alcohol well. Quite nice really.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown and blue color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and some light lacing. Aroma of blueberry with light coughs medicine syrup and gross stale sugary notes. Taste is not the best of match between some chocolate and deep sweet caramel notes and blueberry with some stale fruit notes and gross sweet notes of residual sugars. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Weird mix that really didn’t work out for me and I ended up drain-poured most of this bottle.

(Bottle) Very dark brown colour, almost black, with hints of ruby when seen through light. Frothy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of chocolate, blueberries, blackberries, caramel, dark rye bread and roasted malt. Malty, fruity taste with chocolate, caramel, blueberry jam, a touch of coffee and a slightly sharp bitter-sweet finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Quite an interesting beer with more blueberries in the nose than on the palate, but still with lots of taste. Quite nice.

Sample @ SBWF 12. Black colour with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and blueberries. Flavour is the same as the aroma, chocolate with blueberries.

Paid $7.99 for a bomber at the local store. Enjoyed in a Duvel Glass.
A - Dark brown, no head at all.
S - Some oak and cedar and blueberry. Semi-sweet.
T - Very bland and mellow up front. Hint of blueberry in the middle. Finish is semi-sweet to bland blueberry. Has a fake extract taste to it. Not naturally awesome at all.
M - Light carbonation, medium body.
O - If only Shipyard had used real blueberries. This tastes like cough syrup.

Bottle. Dark clear maroon colir, thin beige head. You can smell the blueberries across the room, but there are also some dark coffee grounds and chocolate notes. Taste is fruity coffee and chcolate covered blueberry bon bons. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to John. pours dark blue. White head. Nose/taste of blueberries mostly - also hints of buttered bread, molasses and malt. Medium body. Finishes blueberry and light butter. Blueberries dominate. Nice beer.

Pours black with good head retention and lacing. The aroma of blueberries fills the air as the brew pours. It’s so strong that it masks the other aromas, which behind the fruit are actually pretty versatile. There’s whisky-barrel oakiness, alcohol and some nutty or coffee bitter. Medium carbonation. The sweetness of the blueberry taste is also well-balanced with the bitterness of the scotch/porter hybrid mix they mention on the bottle and even a little sourness. Great palate. LCBO.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy berry - sweet blueberry. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, blueberry, berry, light roasted - chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120616]
