Een krachtige bier om de eerste herfst stormen te doorstaan. In de traditie van Nederlandse bokbieren valt onze bokbier op door haar stevige smaak. Zeker niet overdreven zoet!
A strong beer to withstand the first autumn storms. In keeping with the tradition of classic Dutch bock beers, this beer stands out for its rounded and solid flavour. Certainly not overly sweet!

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby brown golden colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with berry-fruity and nutty notes. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, only medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malt-character but not as hearty as expected; notes of caramel, berries, nuts and yeast; sweet and roasty bitter finish with shy fruity notes. Slimmer than expected, but nevertheless a drinkable brew. 01.III.11

Huge dense, dark-beige head, very stable over red-brown beer. Chocolate and other dark malts, vaguely lactic; sweet cacao. Dry-bitterish dark malts, with a quite bitter finish. Again chocolate, minimum sweetness. Finish is pure spicy bitterness and cacao powder. Warming up, it acquires something vinous. Pretty well-bodied, quite slick; alcohol discreet but there. Definitely not bad at all!

Bottle: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, big - slowly collapsing - fluffy beige head; caramelly-toasty nose with a subtle fruitiness and a distinctive acidity in the background; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, accompanied by a light acidity, medium bodied; vinous notes and a tinge of alcohol in the drier sweet-toasty finish, followed by a bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not well rounded...........

Bottle: Poured a reddish chocolate brown with a huge tan color long lasting head. Aroma is yeast and spice. Flavor is rich chalky caramel malt, roasted or smokeness as well, and a hint of fruit at the end. Leaves a dry spice finish. Warms the core for sure.
