Bottle from Tesco, Manchester. Amber with a thin head. Fairly robust English pale that’s slightly sweet. Has a very gritty texture in the palate.

Keg at Lords, I was really pushing the boat out to celebrate Roots Daddy ! 13/06/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that stays for the show. Nose is bready, pale malts, light fruit rinse, not much depth, inoffensive and forgetabble! Taste cranks up ever so slightly, malt base, fruit notes, bready pangs, light berry fruit, faint caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a light fruit rinse. So so keg bitter, as expected, not unpleasant just not a lot doing.

Golden colour. Thin and watery texture. Light, mild flavour with only a background hint of hop. The idea of these 2.8% beers is very good but need to be backed up by more flavour. It is possible.

Clear golden beer with a foamy head. Faint sweet aroma. Slight hop flavour with a bit of a fruity edge. Finish is slight sickly. It’s not unpleasant just deeply average.

500ml bottle: BBD 30 June 2014. Poured into two old ’Home Ales’ countryman half pint tankards, as my wife had half of the bottle on a hot and sunny 26 Aug 2013 in our back garden. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and depth of flavour for such a weak and cheap beer. Looked fine in the glasses: deep old golden colour, clear and tidy, on top a thin, but full head of white bubbles. Malts lead the way in both the aroma and taste with the hops arriving later in the mouth. More sweet than bitter, more thin bodied than heavy. For a 2.8% ABV beer I thought it OK and very refreshing in the sun.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Clear deep golden. Aroma of wort, cereals and a bit of cardboard. Sweetish flavor, grainy and worty, with a slightly drier finish with light bitterness. Rather light-bodied.

500ml bottle. Clear orange amber colour, foam white head which leaves some lacing and a malty cereal aroma. Sweet and malty, with only slight bitterness, through to a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation. OK considering the low strength.
