On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration.
Opaque black - brown beer. No real head. Palate is low carbonation and neutral. Dark malts, a little dry wood. Fairly obvious vanilla and mild cognac. Some bitter dark malts on the finish. Somewhat dissapointing, was hoping for more from this one. None of the Danish beers with vanilla at CBC have really hung together and this one is no exception. The flat palate doesn’t help either.

On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque black with an orange hue and basically no head. Sweet cocoa beans up front blending in nicely with the Cognac and subtle roast. Medium-bodied, carbonation is lowish, sweetish roast, smooth Cognac accents and a somewhat rustic woody edge - even a whiff of peat, really? Only a subdued bitternes. An interesting treatment. 120512

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted dark malty and light vanilla. Smooth vanilla and dark roasted malt. Chocolate and good bitterness to balance the dark sweet and roasted malt flavours.

Sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black colour, no head. INTENSE aroma of vanilla and cognac barrel, also chocolate and creme brulee. Roasty flavour, plenty of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak / cognac barrel, but not too sweet.
