Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at The Raven. Creamy, fawn-coloured head over a bright amber coloured body. Rich lacing down the glass. Bread and brown malty aromas. Flavours of mild fruity hops and caramel malts. Rounded mid-dry bittersweet finish. Well balanced. Good drinking. (Bath 03.05.2017).

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol, 15/4/10. Familiar malty Teignworthy brew, with some caramel, red fruit, and orange hops, leading to a decent, bitter finish.

15th August 2008. Malty start followed by a prominent sour bitterness. Quite a distinct fruit at the end. A bit too harsh.

Cask at Well House Tavern, Exeter, Devon, 12-11-06. Dark amber coloured beer, very good, fruity robust with a lovely long finish rather liked this.

Bottled. (BB 10/2006). Copper brown color, small off-white head. Interesting (and odd) aroma of metal, yeast, oak and ash. Malty backbone in the medium-strength body, fruity yeastyness and hoppy finish. Some way reminds me about RCH Pitchfork - just not as good as it.
