*rating overgezet 2016* Het is een bruin bier met een rode gloed en een medium beige schuinkraag. Het heeft eeen moutige en houtige geur. De smaak is moutig, houtig, drop en alcohol achtig.

Tap @ Borefts. Dark brown color. Malt, oak, vanilla and bourbon in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet, complex. Seems like rhum. Vanilla.

Bottle split at 36 Levels lost, thanks to the Swiss bloke, 28/03/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is mellow barrel, comes across sherry like, vinous, dried fruits, hint of cocoa powder. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, light spice, figgy jam, dates, sprinkle of cocoa powder, light barrel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, rising boost in the close. Decent BA BW.

Bottle shared in Columbus - thanks to Tips. Pours clear black-brown with a creamy tan head. A light medicinal note in the nose, some peat, cocoa. Meidum sweet flavour with notes of burnt caramel, brown sugar, burnt wood, cocoa. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lots of toasted sugars, brown bread, mellow cocoa, a little ash. Not bad.
