Bottle. Nose is pronounced filter coffee, sweet malt, a little woodiness and a little smoke, hint of cream, faint blackcurrant and licorice. Taste is filter coffee (but a lot less than you would imagine from the blurb and the nose), leading to over ripe blackcurrant, dark cherry, sweet dark fruits, then a lightly sour, ash finish with light herbal hops. Too thin. Was quite disappointed with this, the coffee effect was reminiscent of a cheap filter coffee and the main body was too sweet for me and the sour note is not working for me.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy broken off white head. The aroma is big dry coffee. The flavour is light bitter with some sweet notes and a dry yeasty, earthy, medicinal hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Cotteridge. Clear, dark brown. Thin, sticky, lasting, tan head. Nose has fruity coffee bean. Some dark chocolate. Some earthy, woody notes. Some burnt rubber. Taste is acrid, metallic bitter. Not a whole lot else. Some acidity on the palate. A little thin. Pretty tart, metallic bitter finish. Smells ok, but after that it verges on undrinkable.

Bottle shared with rlgk, fonefan, ChrisO and beerhunter111. Opaque dark brown to black color, decent sized light brown colored head. Aroma is heavy coffee and espresso. Nothing else comes through really, apart from the usual malts, dark malts and roast. Taste malts, light roast, heavy coffee but unfortunately also some hints of green unripe coffee beans, a slight tangy hint in there instead of the nice roasted bitter coffee I would have liked to find. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm good aroma but the flavor can’t match it imo.
