Tap on the beach in Rimini, Italy, as Prinz van Franken Pilsener. Pours pale gold, with stable white foam. Aroma is cereal, with some floral and honey. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium sweet, generic, with a fairly dry final.

“Herzog von Franken Pilsener“ (ja, ohne “Premium“), Flasche (50 cl) von Logo, Alsfeld. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase angenehm grasiger und mild hopfenwürziger Hopfen. - Antrunk schlank und gut herb mit Zitronenschale und grasiger Hopfenherbe. Gut rezent, von beträchtlicher Schwere dank guter Hopfung. Kräftig hopfenherber Abgang. - Solides (wenngleich nicht sehr subtiles) fränkisches Pilsener.

Aroma is musty with cardboardy tones and some malt. Flavour has butter, some grassy hops and grain. This has something in common with Kukko Pils. Dryish. Aroma was quite nothing but flavour is ok.

Bottle, 4.9%. Citric aroma, some malt, smells a bit sour and perhaps metallic. Clear pale golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is malty and papery. Good mouthfeel, quite creamy, and extremely so for the style. Medium bitterness and citric finish.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with notes of malt and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with heavy, sweetish estery notes and pronounced touches of malt. Estery aftertaste. Drinkable and quite clean, but if I were a herzog, I would opt for something better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.
