Bottle at home shared with Laura. Unclear red-brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, some red fruits, some sweetness, a bit boozy. Something distinctly sweet in there which I assume must be the Tokaj, but I don't know that wine personally so I can't really tell. Okay beer overall.

Aus der Flasche im 2025-06 getrunken. Das ist das 2 Grain Master was zwar deutliche Getreide-Arome aufweist, aber Speck und Rauch Noten ist das gar nicht mein Stil. Es wirkt auch irgendwie unstimmig was ich im Glas nicht brauche. Ab in den Ausguss!

330 ml bottle. Pours a dull dark mahogany with little head. Aromas of sweet caramel, slightly vinous wood, figs, tobacco and toasted malts. Flavors of raisins, sharp sweet white wine, thin caramel, and toasted malts. Definite ABV but it complements rather than distracts. Very good.

Murky shit water brown with a thin light beige cap that thins to a swirl and spotting ... not the most attractive!
Nose is stewed fruits, grains, herb, spice, caramel, mellow barrel.
Taste comprises fruit cake mix, booze, toasted brown sugars, light spice, toffee, dates, figs, prunes.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy life ... let down a touch on the appearance!

Near clear amber brown beer, small tan head. Nose is a savoury orange brandy type thing. Smooth, soft and very slightly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation, perfect for this style. Soft malts, nice pillowy creamy sweet malts, good touches of caramel and toffee that are far less sweet. Touch of oak induced vanilla but also a nice savoury wet barrel vibe. Lovely ripe sticky candy fruits from the Tokaij barrel. Dried fruits. Mild alcohol spice on the back end. A lovely layered and hugely quaffable barleywine.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Wine barrel upfront, with brown malts, oak, caramel, marzipan, touch of dried fruits. I'm not knowledgeable about Hungarian Tokaj wines, but tastes more like a red wine than a white wine barrel.
