500ml Bottle conditioned: poured into a UK pint sleeve on 30 Apr 2013, some three months before it’s BBD. Lovely mahogany red/brown body with a huge tanned head, couldn’t get all the bottle into the glass in fact, because of it’s size. Roasted, toasted almost burnt maltiness in the nose and taste, what a cracking beer. The beer gets sweeter as it warms in the glass but it still retains the dark, bitterness from those slightly over roasted malts and the finish reminds you some good quality hops have been used to ensure the dry aftertaste hangs around for a long time. This is my sort of beer: malty, interesting and full of dark secrets, you can stuff your golden citrus flavoured UK beers, this is a proper brew!
