Bottle, 500 ml from Pivoljub. Shared with JFK10000. Pours reddish brown, short lasting off white head. Hint of peanut in aroma. Bit yeasty, toasted malty, light caramel notes. Light to medium bodied. Too light, empty even bit bland for me. Expected more, bit of a disappointment.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with thin and totally diminishing frothy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, dusty, nutty and mild malty. Taste starts with light sweet toasted malt, following is mild fruity, grassy, nutty and mild medicinal, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Nice appearance, but average performance...

500ml bottle from the Cheese & Wine Shop, Darlington. Coppery amber colour, off white foam head that dissipates away and nutty aroma. Taste is malty, peanuty, sweetish with some biscuit and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty nutty finish. Quite drinkable.

Pours almost clear dark coppery-brown color, topped with a small and non-lasting white head. Very faint aroma, just some roasty feel with a bit nutty presence later on. Taste is malty with little bit of roastiness. Bittery finish, some faint nutty presence and herbale feel. Where are my peanuts?! Expected much more from this one.

Bought at Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cherry Hinton Road. Drunk in my new digs (yes, this is the third place I’ve lived in 2016). Mid-brown and very translucent. Smells a bit of unidentifiable malt but also chocolate and caramel with a slight woody base. Nice aroma but underwhelming. Sweetness isn’t overdone in the taste, and the peanut is really pronounced here. Short finish and thin body, but I can live with that. Highly carbonated. Doesn’t have the bags of character I was hoping for, but still pretty good overall.

Pours a clear brown with a coppery red tint and a small off white head. Light roasted malt and nutty aroma, the peanuts are definitely there. Similar in taste, malt, caramel and peanut are present but it is surprisingly thin and light on flavour.
