An award winning dark traditional mild, not too heavy, just what we like at the Vale.
This is a smooth traditional dark ale with a light flavour and aroma, but a definite bitterness.

Bottle. Brewtique, Macclesfield. Never mind this, that review below by the Weasel fella is one of the best I’ve read on Ratebeer...

Very dark, no head and a full body taste at the Clitheroe Beer Festival. Has a medium roasted aroma.

Bottle at Mes Tasting. Pours dark brown with a fine, beige head. Light dark malts and modest roast on the nose, some mocha. Lightly sweet, peaty, mild roast with some tar and tobacco. Light to medium in body with smooth carbonation. Dark malt finish, slight roast. Good stuff.
