Weizen komt uit Beieren, het woord betekent tarwe. Het is mooi troebel wit van kleur, smaakt fris, licht bitter en heeft een briljante zachte afdronk. Kenners proeven vast banaan, citroenen en kruidnagel. De gerst, tarwe en hop komen allemaal uit onze eigen regio en zijn nog biologisch ook. Hoe mooi is dat? Weizen is op zijn allerbest op je teenslippers of blote voeten.

Bottle @ FOneFan. Slightly hazy golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, yeast and banana. Flavour is malt, yeast, banana, artificial and sweet.

Ulfborg Scooper Smagning 2012. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of clove and black pepper with a touch of banana and some plastic phenolics. Sweet and intense cookie spicy flavour with banana notes.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Mid March Tasting, 2012. Pours cloudy to hazy golden with a small creamy head. Sweet banana and bubblegum. Bit of wheat. Lots of bubblegum and svovl. Extreme. Nasty shit!

On tap at In de Wildeman. Hazy yellow orange colour, dense white head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, banana, clove, light grain. Flavour is yeast, wheat, banana, clove, light citrus, grainy light bitter finish, a bit lager-ish. Light to medium bodied. Nice enough.

Bottle 33cl, bought in Bodegraven, Holland. Dorée brumeuse, col blanc. Nez d’esters, froment, touche fruitée abricot et banane. Palais est léger, similaire au nez, bele note de banane et un profile malt qui reste en retrait. Une fine amertume se dégage rajoutant un peu de citron. Froment aussi pour rester dans le style.
