Bottle from Beers of Europe as "Tub Thumper" Special edition to celebrate 10 years of the real ale shop. Konkretnie mocno nachmielone brytyjskie Ale. Piana ladna spora i trwala. Metniste i błotniste, cala masa osadu jak w najlepszych pszenicach z Bawarii. Kolor ciemny brązowy o odcieniu mysiej siersci. Piekny zapach suszonych chmieli angielskich. Bardzo dojrzale w smaku dubeltowo gozkie, slodowosc zbozowa. Na zakończenie mosna sosnowa zywica. Super Classic ESB Ale.

Bottled@my birthdaybash@Chriso. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite typical esb, some floral and grassy hops along with herbs and some balancing malts. Flavour is caramel malts, some sweet floral notes along with grass and herbs. Not that much bitterness in the finish or aftertaste.

Bottle that I picked up from The Real Ale shop, Branthill Farm, Norfolk, consumed 19-06-09 Quite chuffed to see a new Wagtail beer for me to try. I hold Wagtail in high regard as they are very consistent with their bottles, never had a bad one yet. Pours mid brown with a white filmy head. Good solid rustic beer, nice maltiness, bit earthy, these are the sort of qualities that I have come to expect and really like in the Wagtail range, in some respects they are a bit like Old Chimneys as they appear to have their own distinct thumbprint on their beers and they’re not afraid to look back to the past when trying out new stuff. Nice fruity beer touch of dryness at the end, good stuff. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6
