355ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a medium head. Aroma is very faint, a bit grassy and gassy notes. A bit of caramel. Some watery grassy hops in the finish. Watery. Let down.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Deep amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and red fruit with a touch of leafy hop. Flavour had plenty more bready, sweet malts with a hint of spice and moderately bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from the Bottle Shop Goods Shed Canterbury. Some hop but mostly malt on aroma. Like warm thick malt. Very similar in mouth with the malts almost having a mild ginger biscuit taste to it. Tasty enough malty winter beer. Rich clear orange amber colour.

Odell beers are usually hit or miss for me - either they are awesome, or they wind up being boring - unfortunately, this one is an example of the later - very malty - that’s about all I can say - the malts lack a lot of character, and register on my palate as just straight up sweetness - there is a slight toasted grain character, maybe a little bit of toffee - a little bit of warmth on the tail end, with lingering toasted grains - out of Odell’s boring beers, this is one of the better ones, but still...blah.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours clear copper with solid gold edges and thin off white head. Looks tasty. The aroma is a hodge podge of maltiness coming from crystal malts, mild lightly roasted malts and sweet malts followed by fruity notes. The taste is fruity ester dominated with raisins, prunes and apricots. Beyond midway a bit of roasted malts and crystal malts help bring the taste to closure.

Pour is a deep red with a white head. Aroma is chocolate malts with a nice hop tingle. Flavor is dark and malty at first then you get some oily hops at the end of the tounge. Deffinatly no fruit of spice in this brew. Taste and smells like a few Rogue beers i have had in the past. Tasty and decent.

Acquired via trade. I'm not sure if I would want to be isolated in a snow-covered log cabin for any great length of time with only this beer, but it's not too bad. Pours a standard amber color with a medium light tan head. Thin but sticky lacing. Aroma is spicy and sweet, with faint hops. Flavor contains malt and spices, but neither in good quantity. Sweet finish but it falls flat toward the end. I think a boost to the ABV would help this beer a bit.

Bright amber color with large fizzy head. Stong grapefruity aroma with notes of pine resin and a possible hint of tar. Somewhat candyish or toffeeish in aroma as well, but not in a bocky way. Surprisingly mild flavor with subdued hop flavors (piney) and a nonintrusive malt presence. Light finishing bitterness. Balanced and smooth.
