Bottle that Dad shared - cheers. Orangey-amber with a negligible white head and a middling fizz. Full on sweet maltiness and Hovis biscuits, with a touch of orange and caramel. Overall it's quite pleasant but a tad too sweet and restrained - does feel like it needs a touch more bittering hop to give it a bit of edge.

Two hand-pulled cask pints on 16th July 2018 in the 'General Sir Redvers Buller' in Crediton, Devon. I really enjoyed this malty brew, hence the two pints over a lunchtime. Lovely clear deep amber body, steady white crown on top of each pint (and the wife's half-pint). Malt forward in both the nose and taste, some hop balance for a little bitterness, mild fruity notes and a twig or two for woody friends, a proper English Bitter.
