Local chilli’s from the Upton Cheney Chilli Farm have infused our rich chocolate stout with a subtle amount of chilli aroma & a pleasent warming aftertaste. The fruitburst habanero chilli gives a big hot kick, so we have been careful to use it respectfully.

The chilli adds something different to the stout working well with the bitter chocolate flavour without overpowering the other flavours in the beer.

Bottled at oh6gdx’s birthday bash at chriso’s. Dark black, small head. Aroma of dark chocolate with the slightest dash of coffee. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Cocoa flavour with very slight chilli tingle. Mid bitter finish without the burn usually ruining the drinkability in chilli beers.

Bottle at Pat’s chriso birthday tasting. Pours cloudy brown with a foamy, beige head. Faint cocoa aroma. Medium sweet flavor, some cocoa, not getting much chili. Nice dark malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Very, very faint chili presence in the finish, just a tingle. Some sweet chocolate, too, along with lightly roasted malts. Nice stuff. Easy to drink.
