Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 30A: coffee beans and vanilla pod / 15B). Can 44 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 07/11/23). AROMA: medium-high coffee and vanilla aroma dominates. medium-low sweet neutral background. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. low brown head with average retention. TASTE: initial medium-high vanilla and coffee flavour, tipping towards vanilla. medium neutral and sweet background that evolves to dry due to a medium-low bitterness. finishes dry and coffee-like. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a barrel aged beer overwhelmed by coffee and vanilla. barrel noted undetected.

750ml bottle thanks to my bro. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, maple syrup, vanilla, vanilla fudge, maple glazed donut, toasty and coffee grounds. The taste is toasty, dry, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla coffee, vanilla fudge, cherry cola, Dr pepper and dry oak with a toasty finish. Light+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Rounded, flavourful and moreish. Tasty.
