Bottled. A black beer with a brown shine under a huge dark brown head .- overcarbonated - seems off. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, vanilla, and coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of milk that is off, chocolate, and vanilla, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear black with a warm reddish hue and a creamy light brown head. Sweet, roasty nose. Medium body, excessive carbonation, sweet vanillaish roast. No real biterness. A very typical Sweet Stout. 221112

Bottle at Pat’s Birthday Tasting at Chriso’s, London. Pours cloudy brown with a small, white head. Some mild roast and light vanilla on the nose. Medium sweet flavor with definite vanilla presence and light cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lingering vanilla in the finish with some dark sugars. Nice.

Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. It pours clear deep brown, with a decent beige head. The nose is slightly sour (infected?), roasted malt, vanilla and lactose. The taste is creamy, milk, sweet vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate and caramel, with some dryness in the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok....

Bottle from the brewery. Near black with a tight, off-white head. Dark chocolate aroma, with some fruit and a whiff of vanilla. Flavour had some malty sweetness upfront, some more chocolate and a pleasant vanilla edge, that avoided tasting like an ice cream float. Very good.
