Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense cream head; the aroma has a touch of wood smoke ; dry in the mouth with smoky, sweet, and nutty malts; and a dry finish. Rather interesting.

Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Decent biscuity mid brown bitter. Fine, if nothing to make me want a second pint of it.

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Nut brown. Some apple and a bit of yeast up front. Sweet, roasty and mild, soft and rounded. An easy drinking cask ale, which probably could have been labelled as a brown ale.
