Bottle at Pat’s birthday tasting at chriso’s. Pours pale yellow with a fine, white head. Nice look. Crisp cereal nose. Medium sweet flavor, standard cereal, dough and straw notes. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Pretty crisp to finish with notes of cereal and light straw bitterness. Good stuff. Ticks all the boxes.

Per got me this one at BA Vasagatan after I’d missed it intentionally the day before in the other one not wanting to overpay for a pils (huge thanks!). Hazy yellow body, white head. Lovely honeyish fruity nose, dusty and slightly lemony. Fruity maltiness in the taste, fairly complex and I can’t pinpoint the fruit. Solid grapeseed hop bitterness that helps balance it out. Yay! A good Swedish lager!

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Folkungagatan, Stockholm) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, bready nose with hay, grassy hops and hints of tropical fruit. Malty, bready taste with notes of citrus, hay and a dry, grassy bitterness in the classic German pilsener tradition. Perhaps a bit over carbonated, but the taste is fresh and clean. Nice beer.

Bottle at RBESG 2007. You know what? I am starting to warm to some pilsners. Gold, thin white head. Light hop aroma, playful. Simple pils with good metallic, carbonated biting hop on the end.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No.68 in Stockholm. Unfiltered. Pours a pale yellow body over a medium white foamy head. Fresh grassy aroma. Hoppy fruit notes dominate the taste with a solid touch of oranges. Dry ending. More than average for a pilsener (30.11.2006).
