Near black with reddish undertones and a slight, off-white head. Sweet, muscavado, caramel and dark fruit aroma. Flavour was also sweet, with a roast edge, chewy malts and more fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle from Sainsburys, Kidlington, consumed 09.12.11 Pours black, actually back-lit there is slight rubiness showing, light beige head atop. Soft in mouth with a little tangy fruit, becoming dry quite quick, some dark sugars (molasses) in mouth, bit of liquorice (but not too much), perhaps a hint of tamarind and some other spices. Its not too bad at all. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

50cl bottle. Pitch black with a twny glow, tightly packed cream head; chocolate aroma; milky texture with deeply roasted chocolate malts giving a dry, fruity flavour with a touch of coffee; and a pleasant, lasting, dry finish.
