Aus der Flasche (bbe 05.05.2026) im 2025-06 getrunken. Manchmal wird man belohnt wenn man mutig ist und ein vermmeitlich spannendes Bier kauf. Aber manchmal auch nicht! Das hier geht direkt nach dem 1.Schluck in den Ausguß. Ein Bockbier kann je echt toll werden, aber wenn es schwer bitter gehopft ist und hat dann noch vom Laphroaig BA eine sehr kräftige Rauchnote bekommen, dann hilft auch nicht mehr die feine Grapefruit-Note und leichte Bockbier-Süsse.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before May 2026. Very hazy, deep orangeish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, slightly resiny and a little smoky-medicinal aroma of orange jam, mango, vanilla, whisky and hints of peat. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity and gently smoky-medicinal taste of orange jam, mango, vanilla, peat, iodine, whisky and light oak, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, a little woody finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely beer, extreme and rich. IPA Eisbock and Laphroaig sounds like a strange combination but it absolutely works, at least I totally dig it.
