No Way Out B.A. is a salted caramel Barleywine aged in Madeira & Ruby Porto barrels. Rich notes of caramel and toffee blend with a touch of sea salt, complemented by subtle dried fruit and oak flavors from the barrels. The finish is smooth and warming, a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Tap at Arendsnest on a sunny 12th June 2025 afternoon by the canal - Very interesting - it’s sweet, but light savoury, tastes like an imperial stout

TCBW2025. Black colour, small head. Aroma is wood, some sweet malts, mild spiciness, brown sugar, plum and some green apple tones. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, salted caramel, mild sea salty tones with some wooden and a bit oaky tones. Actually nicely balanced flavour. Aroma was a bit "here and there".

Can at CBJ tasting, thanks to me. Clear dark amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Salted caramel coming through on the back end. Some mellow woody barrel and oak induced vanilla on the back end. Nice beer but frankly impossible to discern the barleywine style.

330 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with short fizzy tan head. Aromas of salted caramel, soft oak, dark fruit, and soft toasty malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on salted caramel and a bit more oak to help the balance. The salted caramel really masks the underlying barley wine but a very good “desert” beer nonetheless.

330ml. Opaque brown colour, tiny beige head. Interesting marshmallow pastry stout nose has also evident sweet portwine aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Sweetish, portwine, brandy, touch of salt, wood, oak, marshmallows in the flavour. Tad sweet but not a suprise as Madeira and Port barrels used. Lots of nuances in the flavour. It's a bit letdown that body is quite shallow.
