Motto Motto (pronounced moh-toh moh-toh) in Japanese means ‘more, more’ or ‘way more’. Plenty of Juicy IPAs that embody this as a philosophy towards the amount of ingredients used; more hops, more haze, more alcohol, more and more and more and more…..While we certainly did not approach this beer with a timid frame of mind, we did want to focus on the ‘more, more’ with the desire to have another! This juicy, pillowy, citrusy IPA bursts with ‘way more’ flavor, but with all of its components in harmony, the beer achieves an approachability. Before you know it you’re having more.

Intensely hopped, but neither juicy nor bitter. Almost drinks a little like a dry lager.

Can from J&B Craft Drinks. Hazy orange, stable, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of mango, mandarin, melon, biscuit, orange juice & peel, rusk, apricot. Taste has sweet apricot, mango & mandarin, going over a biscuity, rusk-like malt base into a bitter middle of orange peel. Finishes dry and bitter, with quite a lot of resinous hoppiness, on the harsh side, almost spicy actually. Some grapefruit peel, quinine. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sacrifices juiciness for bitterness, so more of a West/East Coast hybrid for me.

Little cloudy orange beer, small fizzy yellowish to beige head, unstable, falls down pretty quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, lots of tropical fruits, juicy, mango, a bit grassy, some citrus notes, oranges, orange peel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very nice, juicy, tropical fruits, nice bitterness, hoppy, a bit resinous, piny, zesty, oranges and dried orange peel, some grapefruit, hoppy. Aftertaste: nice, citrus, some caramel malts, a bit sweet, very juicy, zesty touch, a bit piny, pleasant bitterness, very nice stuff!

Draught @ Blind Tiger, Manhattan (Mar 2024). Hazy dark yellow-amber with a foamy dark beige head, citrus-mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter mango-orange-melon taste, smooth thin body, long medium bitter finish. Flavorful!
