A few weeks back, we had the privilege of brewing with our good friend Michael Messenie of @dutchess_ales. Over the years, we've enjoyed many of his beautifully delicate English ales, preferably on cask, at some of our favorite New York City bars. We've shared many conversations about our mutual love for a properly poured pint of real ale, but also the idea that great beer is just a vehicle for even greater experiences and memories. Together, we aimed to create something that would honor those traditions, and most importantly, be a perfect vessel to create new memories.

Glee is unabashedly classic. Inspired by our British forefathers. Brewed with local Virginia malt from Murphy & Rude Malting Co. and a gentle touch of Challenger, Fuggle & East Kent Golding hops.

Cheap single from The Community Tap in Greenville. No date stamp. Pint glass @home. Slow moving bottle bomb. Endless amount of off-white, sticky head over a hazy, dull, ...golden ale. Smell is bittersweet. Saline, apple & diacetyl. Peppery & doughy upfront, a high snap of acid, heavy Aspirin & light herbal bitterness. Probably not exactly what they intended. Off beer is still good(-ish) beer(sometimes).

16oz can pours a fizzy, dark gold with a cap of white head.  Nose has honey and malt and treacle, caramel.  Flavor has more, flowers, some floral tea, honey, treacle.  There's some oily hop lurking which I didn't like at first but then warmed up on me.  Finishes a touch tannic, oily, mostly dry.  Ok.  6 4 6 3 11
