Draft at Drift, Poole. Very hazy brown with a thick off white head. Aroma of big cocoa powder, roasty note, malt and some light ripe fruit notes hiding behind. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Connolly’s Wines, Solihull. Poured a clear medium brown with a huge frothy light tan head. The aroma is malt, dry yeast, red berry floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, slightly tart, earthy, mineral fruity, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at Eebria Taproom Bermondsey. Dark brown beer lasting tan head. Malty beer. Would work better on cask. It’s a malty best bitter but lacks the wide lower carbonated mouth feel malt fruit english fruits hedgerow. Pepper. Pretty good.

Keg at the Twisted Barrel Taproom, 04/03/16. Dark mahogany brown with reddish hues topped with a light beige cap. Nose is light red berry, juicy hop strokes, pine, charr, light tropicana. Taste comprises toffee crisp, earthy hop, light pine, toasted bread, sprinkle of tropical fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent.
