This is the only perry that has any water in, as it is a mixture of a first and 2nd pressing. The 2nd pressing has water added to re-hydrate the fruit, to assist pressing out the remaining colour, juice and flavours, so the water content is no more than 20%. Often a cloudy perry, it has good flavours despite being lower strength. Varieties include Doyenne du Comice, Thorn, Blakeney Red, Conference.

BIAB at GBBF: Poured an orange with bubble white. Aroma is fruity bubblegum. Taste is fruity pears very nice.

BIAB sample from GBBF 2017 courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of fleshy dessert pear. Taste is sweet, fruity pear, fleshy, woody with alittle tartness and some biscuity hints. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, semi-dry finish. Quite OK

8/8/2019. From bag in a box at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours clear golden amber with minimal bubbly off-white head. Aroma of pears and light citrus. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. A very peary perry, quite enjoyed it.

ABV: 3.8%. Clear medium to light orange yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate pear, sweet pear, pear skin. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pear, pear skin, sweet pear, overripe pear. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20190808]

Box @ Hop + Vine, Hull. Light golden with a tanginess and certainly hides its own low abv for a perry. Its nose smells artificial.

Bag vs at END28. Sour pear aroma. Sam goes for taste. Surprisingly sour Perry. Opaque white gold. Tiniest white head. Sour pear. Thin. Light. Flat. Astringent. A sour Perry. Why?
