Cask at CP&K. It pours deep brown, with a thin foamy, off-white head. The nose is overpowering sulphur/rotten-egg and maybe some roasted malt. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, nut, wood, farmyard and earth, with a big dry finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. The smell destroys the enjoyment of drinking this beer.

Clear deep red-brown beer holding on to a small pale tan head. Smooth but dry palate. Red fruits well balanced with mildly toasty and dry dark malt. Some tangy fruit emerges before a very dry finish. Bitterish aftertaste. Alright!

Gravity cask at the Alma. Pours red-brown with a soft head. Nice nose, some roasty malts and raw hops. Flavor is faintly sweet with with upfront roast, some grassy bitterness and burnt toast. Medium in boidy with fine carbonation. Heavy, raw and fresh hop finish. Not enough sugar to counter. Decent.
