50 cl clear bottle as Somerset Commando Hoofing. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is herbal and light spiced hoppy. Bitter, loght toasted malty and vague caamelish. Bitter and mild toasted malty into the finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of wet hay and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of wet hay and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours golden with a slight haze and a small, rough white head. Rustic, malty nose. Light body, a slightly tart fruitiness, biscuit, rather skunky and fusty. Ends dryish. 270612

Crosse Keys Spoons. As Commando Hoofing IPA. Clear gold beer, tiny white head. Smooth semi dry palate. Low carbonation. A little citrus orange is swamped by a turgid dusty taste. Finishes dry. Pretty grim.

Cask at the GBBF as Commando Hoofing. Golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grain, honey and fruit. Grainy malt flavour with a dusty touch.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell as Cotleigh Commando Hoofing IPA. Amber with a loose cream head; fruity aroma; sweet fruit malt flavour; a dry biscuity finish with some green hops. Pleasant enough as a fruity bitter, but not an IPA.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England. [ As Cotleigh Commando Hoofing ].Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass - old grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, citrus, old malt - old grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110802]

Cask handpull at Willow Walk Spoons. Gold slight haze thin sparse white head. Its a slightly dry dusty golden ale. Yes dusty some fruit. Some drying tangy hop on finsh. Quite stinging and builds on the finish actually. Ok
