Bottle. Shiny amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is quite sweet and alcoholic. Hint of a Belgian sort of yeast thing. Has a little dodgy citric note. Not quite clean. Quite acidic.

Rerate, as Skands Sjøben (test bottle from importer), ABV is 8.0%. Yes, this seems to be the same beer, though the colour seems slightly paler for Sjøben (not sampled side by side). No need to change the rating. Nice enough beer. Original rating: 500 ml bottle, as Skands Lille Gul Håndbrygget Påskehygge (test bottle from importer). ABV is 8.0%. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Fairly decent aroma of a strong pilsener, floral and herbal hops, some sweetish malts, hints of alcohol. The flavour is malty sweet with some alcohol, moderate herbal hops. Not too bad.

50cl bottle as Skands Sjøben. Pours clear golden with a tiny white head. Weak, lightly malty aroma with some alcohol and a hint of honey. Tastes a bit like malt liquor, lots of alcohol and pretty sweet. Not much going on her, just a bland beer with high alcohol content.

Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry bready finish.

Bottle. A clear one, golden in color and topped by a smell, off-white head. Pale malts, some fruityness and a touch of grass on the palate. Fruity flavor with a nice bitterness. A bit on the sweet side though. Some alcohol notes towards the end. Full body, dryish and slighlty warming. Overall, a decent one, but I can’t see myself drinking it again. 110820
