12 oz bottle-thanks dmac for sharing-pours a thin light brown head and black color. Aroma is sharp dark malt-anise, molasses, alcohol. Taste is sharp/rich dark malt-anise/molasses/chocolate, some earthy hops, alcohol.

Bottle. Very dark brown. Aroma is boozy chocolate, balsamic vinegar. Taste is boozy chocolate also, smooth but with a bit of bite at the finish. Nice.

Bottle Pours out a dark brown almost black topped with a small tan ring. Aroma was of light bourbon along with some burnt roast. Taste was more of the bourbon and the burnt malt. A little sugar sweetness and more of the bourbon. Thanks ditmier for sharing.

Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black stout with a motor oil consistency and a small foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt is detectable but mainly dominated by bourbon notes. Taste is also dominated by bourbon notes with a bit too much alcohol for my taste with light vanilla finish. Body is full with good carbonation and alcohol is too apparent. Very well done but I can’t say I enjoy barrel-aging with alcohol is so present.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. AWESOME BEER! Pours extremely viscous with a small fading brown head. The black body underneath is glass coating. Aroma is sick (in a good way!!)! Bourbon, vanilla, fudge, wood, licorice, and alcohol. Taste is barrel, wood, vanilla, chocolate, lightly lactic with some nuts an umami. Viscous mouthfeel with light carbonation. This stuff is great!

Scored 12 ounces of this via trade. Came in what looked to be a hand bottle with a tiny, plain white label with only the name on it. Pours an oily, thick, viscous opaque black with a thin, slightly creamy brown head. The smell of bourbon whiskey really cracks you over the head the moment the bottle opens. Whoa. The nose is so boozy, with some burnt toast, dark fruit, dark chocolate, etc. Flavor is all alcohol and whiskey, slight sour mash flavor, dark chocolate, dark cherries, thick malts, molasses. Oily, thick and hot on the tongue. May have over done it a touch on the barrel aging. Certainly worth a try.

Oily and very dark brown. No head. The aroma is alcohol, burnt plums, prunes. Like a boozy, way oversimplified Expedition. Thick, viscous with a rich marmitey, pruney character. It’s burly and has some unique qualities but overall there isn’t that much to recommend.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a small very dark brown head. The aroma was a lovely mix of chocolate and port wine. The flavor was tart, fruity and malty with notes of chocolate, port wine, candied ginger and pepper. Drier than I was expecting. The finish was long with port wine lingering. The mouthfeel was thick and full.

Another rarity courtesy of tbd975, you my friend ROCK!!! Pours up dead blackness void with thin brown head. Big boozy bourbony and oaky aroma clearly detected from feet away from my glass. As my nose gets less than “feet” away I can start to pick up some roasty malts way off in the back. The taste is kind of thin bringing in big amounts of bourbon followed by mild roasty to caramel malts, some vanilla and then oak notes. Oak and booze ride together to the finish in a big bold nearly brash manner. This brew could use a more balance as age may bring out the base beer.
