Strecks Ostheimer Dunkel, Flasche aus dem Rhöner Bauernladen, Fladungen. - Dunkles Rotgold, klar. - In der Nase eher blasse Dunkelmalzigkeit, kandierte Orange, milde orangenfruchtig-hopfenwürzige Herbe. - Antrunk mild dunkelmalzig und leicht röstig, zart säuerlich und schwach vanillesüß. Milde, blaß zitronig-herbale Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent, trocken malzig. Im Abgang etwas schmalspurig hopfenherb und schwach metallisch. - Geschmacklich ein wenig dürftig; überdies mit Röstmalzbier anstelle dunkler Malze gebraut, was man auch schmeckt. (4.4.2023.)

50cl bottle. A clear copper brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild caramelized malt, spicy hops and malt. Taste of caramel, reddish moderate sweet malt, hints of liquorice, mild bitterness.

Bottle. Dark amber, offwhite cream. Light roast, minerallic metallic entry on the palate, herbal hops on roasted biter sweeet grain. Medium to light body. Could be more exiting.

500ml Bottle - Dark amber/light copper with a white head. Caramel, raisins and dates in the aroma. Caramel, raisins, nuts, sultanas and notes of dried apricot can all be detected in the well balanced taste. Easy to drink.

Appearance: Amber colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Caramel, malt, bread.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.

Draught @ BBF13. Pours clear coppr brown with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour with regular malty notes. Bitter finish. Acceptable but nothing extraordinary. Just a little above the average.

Draught at BBF13. Slightly sourish aroma, but not too bad. Clear dark brown colour. Small head, almost white. The flavour is lagery, fizzy with a thin and dry finish. Farbenbier?

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home on the terrace.Clear to medium brown colour with a average to large, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted, bread, malt, pale nutty. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, bread, malt, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110902]
