Crisp, yet fairly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of very fresh, pungent and grassy hops with a lot of alpha acids, a surprising amount of malts also dominate with some fruits and a ton of alcohol noticeable in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Super strong malt and alcohol flavours dominate with a ton of sweetness from caster sugar, some light fruit and a dash of syrup and resin as well, but the hops show at last, but they aren't full of alpha acids and bitterness - they are just there for some resinous and grassy notes. Aftertaste shows the alcohol warmth, a bunch of malts with some yeast noticeable as well, but the sugars from the fruit and especially pure caster sugar notes are the strongest here, with some resin as well and a light bitterness from pine and citrus. Overall, a nice and very pungent Imperial IPA with a lot of malts, more resin and syrup than typical, but also a bunch more alcohol as well...some syrup, resin and sugars to finish it off nicely. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me by the GM at the brewery, after a hockey game in July 2019, in Arlington, Virginia - Thanks Erik!

Keg at Bluejacket, 8/19/14. Pours a hazy golden with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, pith, doughy malt. The taste is tropical, citrus, herbal hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

4oz sample at the brewery pours a clear orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is pithy, dried orange peel, heavy soap, heavy herbs. Flavor is pithy and soapy, herbal too. Heavy finish. Too soapy.

A notch better than Bully Pulpit. Clear orange pour with decent head and lacing. Big citrus and a nice smooth malt integration. Hoppy and well-balanced. Bitter finish. Tap at brewpub.

Pours hazy orange, small off white head, ok lacing. Aroma is pretty dank, cat plus and pine, forest floor. Flavor follows, melon and darkness, not bad, bit a bit extreme. Light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, silky mouthfeel.

Draft at the source. Poured a nice golden yellow-orange color with a white head. Aroma was citrus aroma, with pine, a slight touch of onion, but not pronounced. Flavor is grassy, juicy notes of citrus and pine.
