Best Pale Ale and Dark Crystal malts combine to give a great tasting robust malty premium beer. English Target and Challenger hops provide for a moderate bitterness to balance off the sweetness of the malts leaving Fuggles hops to produce the inviting spicey, slightly nutty aroma and rich after palate

Cask at Prince Albert, Ely. Golden brown with no head. Clear. Smeels of malt, iced tea, sorrel grass. Sweet taste, more tea, moreish. The slightest bitter chalky burn in the finish. Flat, oily body. Enjoyable enough but a one-pinter only.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Copper with a small glow. Has a berry-sweetness aroma with a dirty dryness to it. A little ordinary in its taste buds palatable enough.
