Cask at the Craft Beer Co. Pours clear, vibrant amber with a soft, white head. Nutty aroma, light toast and herbal hops. Light sweet flavor, lots of grainy malts, light toast and herbs. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice balance to finish, plenty of toast and nuts, some lingering earth and herbal bitterness. Good beer. (3.7) Cask at The Southampton Arms, London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a small, white head. Toasty malt nose, bit of caramel and nuts. Medium sweet flavor, bit more caramel, toast and leafy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clean finish, mild bitters, great balance, some toast and caramel, light toasty sugars. Really solid, actually. (3.9)

Cask at the Southampton Arms on 6th August 2011. Copper with thin off-white laceless head. Discreet herby aroma. Grassy hoppiness, herbiness and tangy citric notes in liquid. Notes of broad beans/cabbage. Quite a lengthy hoppy finish, slightly sour but also nicely bitter. Light mouthfeel.

Cask handpull at Ye Olde Thirsty Pig Maidstone. Orange copper with slight haze and a tad warm. Lasting cream head. Toasted malt and some peppery hop aroma. Enormously drinkable toasty bitter. Apart from being a touch warm this is lovely. Fresh as hell. Some yeasty meatyness on the aroma. But finish is excellent. Good bitter.
