Cask @ St. Jude’s. Small head with short duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, caramel, fruits, hops and has a nice smooth light bitter finish.

Cask @ St. Jude Brewery Tavern, Ipswich. Hazy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 150217

Hazed brownish color with a off white layer on top. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium (-) body and a soft carbonation level. Moderate sweetness and a decent bitterness. Dark malt, roast, herbal and fruity flavor.

Cask at GBBF. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of grain and licorice with a touch of vegetables. Sweetish licorice dominated flavour with a roasted note in the finish

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 1. Pours a clearish, red-brown with a tan, bubbly head. Mild roast and toast nose. Pretty sweet flavor, some roast and an overall mild flavor with faint fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Some light roast to finish, toasty bread, very faint burnt sugar. Nice.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet caramel - chocolate, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110804]

Cask at GBBF 2011. It pours mahogany brown, with a thin white head. The nose is subtle: caramel, nut, light roasted malt and earth. The taste is caramel, earth, nut, wood, roasted malt and light toffee, with a dry finish. Thin body and low carbonation. A decent mild.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear very dark brown beer. Light pale tan suddy head. Light semi dry palate. Smooth fresh minerally malt. A little chocolate and an undertone of red fruits. Finishes smooth and semi dry. Good flavour for it’s abv.

From cask. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Bitter and dark malty flavoured. Bitter, mild acidic and dark roasted malty. Ends bitter and dry into the finish. Bitter and dry malty finish.
