Dark ale which is quite crisp and has a decent body to it. Thereโ€™s some noticeable fruits in the taste too.

Bottle. Medium brown. Aroma is nutty, with chocolate, caramel, rich and quite nice. Flavor of light malts, minerals, slightly roasted, with chocolate and caramel. A bit bland, but has a good bitter finish. Lighter body. Decent, not so memorable.

Bottle at ChrisOโ€™s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours cloudy brown with a small, off-white head. Slightly tangy, dark malts on the nose. Mild cocoa in the flavor, faintly sweet. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Faint fruits and roast to finish. A little weak of character all around, but alright.

500ml bottle. Pours orange brown with a large, frothy head. Aroma is raisin malt and Iโ€™m also getting some whiskey notes. Fruity malt start. Nice, strong raisin and bready malt finish.

500ml bottle from M&S from St Pancras on night Man Utd beat Blackpool 2-3 with 3 goals in second half. Mid clear chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Big full on mild brown malt aroma and flavour. Lots of people wont like it but I did for its unashamed big malt flavour. Not many beers in the UK brewed like this anymore. Decent mid brown mild

500ml bottle picked up at a M&S store in central Edinburgh. Clear, brown coloured body. Decent beige coloured head, slowly declining. Smell of dark roasted malts. Mild roastiness to dark caramel malts in flavour. Smooth bittering malts to the finish. Clean tasting. Alright, but do not stand out as something special (hotel room, 30.11.2010).
