(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 27 July 2017) Golden amber colour, hazy, with frothy white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, grainy malt and lemon peel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, lemon, grain and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Gedronken van de tap bij het Arendsnest. Mooie kleur, uistekende smaak. Zou zo maar een favoriet kunnen worden.

Tap @Arendsnest. Hazy pale amber, mid-size frothy white head, good retention and fair lacing. Aroma pale malts, orange, mango, grapefruit, pineapple. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, honey, pine. Retronasal orange peel, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, orange, grapefruit, herbal notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, very well-made and balanced IPA.

Draft - Very caramel forward with some tropical notes. Cloudy copper with a nice white head. Sweet hops and caramel notes. This beer may be a bit past it’s prime.

IPA made for the 7.5 years anniversary of Amsterdam’s BeerTemple, tasted at ’Cause Beer Loves Food. Snow white, medium thick, stable head over a misty peach blonde beer with ochre hue. Aroma of mango, stale lime juice, pineapple, dried wormwood, tonic water, wet marihuana, grape peel, raw chicory leaves, strawberry wine, lychee, passion fruit. Clean, lively fruity onset, unripe melon, some passion fruit and lychee, soft carbo, nice rounded biscuity and mildly caramelly malt sweet basis with even honeyish sweetness of residual sugars on top, aromatic hop finish with retronasal impressions of mango juice, orange flesh and grapefruit peel, dank and tropical, achieving a sufficiently drying but ’friendly’ bitterness in the back of the mouth. Very accomplished present-day style ’international’ IPA, worthy to celebrate the birthday of the inspired craft beer institution that is the BeerTemple.

Tap at BeerTemple. Slight hazy golden with bubbly white head. Lots of tropical fruits, grapefruit, lots of pineapple, some berries. Lots of fruit! Some bitter grass in the finish. Some sweet bready malts and crackers to balance it all. Medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied. Very well done.

Tap @ Beertemple, 15 cl sample. Almost clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma has lots of pjney hops, grapefruit, hint of biscuity malt. Medium bitterness in taste, resinous. Great IPA. They should make this a regular.

Sampled from tap at ’Beertemple’. Clear, golden amber with a thin, white head. Sweetish, very fruity and slightly resiny aroma of orange, mango, tangerine and some honey. Slightly sweetish, quite fruity and slightly herbal-grassy taste of orange, mango, honey, some vanilla and a touch of almond, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, herbal-grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, but too sweet for me actually.
