At the Sun Inn, Kelvedon, Bank Holiday weekend beer festival. Clear deep amber beer, residual white head. Smooth, semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Mild malt. Bitterish dark tangy orange. Fresh but bitter. Semi dry finish. Bitter aftertaste. Tad to bitter - could do with more fruit.

Deep copper brown color, small beige head. Exotic fruity nose, some bitterness. Light to medium bodied. Some licorice-saltyness, caramel, nutty flavors. Lingering nutty licorice in the aftertaste. Decent. Quite different ratings from this beer.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 07.12.10 Pours dark amber with a nice medium sized white head, looks a cracker in fact. Nice bitter beer with a good snappy citrusness sitting underneath, some caramel and maltiness, very pleasant beer. A6 A5 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7
