From keg at the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange, with a thin bubbly white head. The nose is orange, mango, pineapple, fruit salad sweets and some cheesy hop. The taste is orange, mango, grapefruit, pineapple. tangy marmalade, pine, lots of resin and alcohol warmth, with a long bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Another well executed IPA from Kernel!

Bottle at the brewery. Pours cloudy, dark gold with a light, white head. Ripe citrus nose with a bit of pine. Flavor holds some tangy citrus, toast, caramel, a bit of grapefruit and mandarin orange. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, earthy hops, resin, a bit more tang, dirt and dry leaves. Good stuff.

Bottle at the brewery. Hazy orange beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate- but with a crispy edge. Semi dry. Subtle herb, sweet orange and then grapefruit bitterness. The Riwaka was noticeable here but not the Nelson. Dry finish, a little pithy. Need to spend some more time on this one - itโ€™s more complex than I have described. Original rating 3.7

A little bit of cream in the malt. Nice hops! Mild tangerine and subtle mango. Mild minerals and a little aniseed. Finishes with fresh orange and a dash of grapefruit and a little peach. Just a mildy bitter aftertaste but it has real legs and lingers on and on.
