Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Bierhalle Deconinck', bottled in January 2017. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty-malty aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, vanilla and some oak. Quite sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla and some oak, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Boozy! Loads of alcohol and barrel, but it works well with the quite thick base. Thick, rich and creamy. Great balance, well done Kees! :)

Black color, kight tan head with short to medium duration. Aroma has notes of roasted malts with a high presence of Jack Daniels hints. Flavor is mainly roasty, some chocolate and coffee; notes of bourbon are more present. Slughtly bitterness in the final with notes of burnt caramel in the aftertaste.

Shared from bottle at puttetjes’. Black with tan head. Big boozy nose. Dark roasted chocolate malts, whiskey, apples, berries, ash. Big sweet, moderate bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Quite dry. Jacky D don’t favor the beer imho.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with creamy dark beige head. Quite some bourbon, chocolate, oats, lots of red berries, green apples and blackberries, soft coffee. Medium sweet and bitter with sour finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s nice but a bit too weird with the red berries and green apples.
