Bottle (from some webshop). Pours black with light brown head. The head stays. Aroma is intense barrel, whisky, roast, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, malt, roast, barrel, oak, whisky. Finish is oaky and boozy. Overall: this is more barrel than beer, but still enjoyable as dessert beer (so not totally ruined).

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, medium sized light to medium brown colored head that lasts for a long time and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is malts and heavy liquor influence with sweet dark raisins. Taste malts, again heavy barrel aging, liquor, alcohol, dark dried fruits, alcohol and liquor so heavy it almost turns vegetal. Hmm for me personally this is over the top, so it has passed the point where barrel aging adds something to the beer. Body is medium to full, carbonation is average.

F: brow, medium size, not long lasting. C: dark, opaque. A: dark malt, woody, cherries, whisky, plums, dark chocolate, mocha, dates, hint of vanilla, complex. T: malt, bourbon, cherries, whisky, chocolate, a lot of mocha, dark fruits, warming alcohol, woody, vanilla, full body, lower soft carbonation, complex lovely beer, nice balanced, fully enjoyed, BB: 01/22, 33cl bottle from Malting pot in Brussels.

Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is soft and slightly viscous, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, some cream, dark chocolate and a slight tang. Sadly, as often happens with BA beers, there is an emulsion paint like thing running through this beer, never sure what it is, maybe esters, but it is annoying. Fruity bourbon and bitterish bourbon. Tangy fruity finish. Despite the emulsion paint, it’s still quiet drinkable.

Bottle from het Biermoment, batch #10 BB 01/22, 33 cl sample. Dark color, big frothy brown head. Aroma of huge bourbon cookie and vanilla, some creamy milk chocolate, and quite some raisins. Medium sweetness of vanilla and milk chocolate, some raisin and dark fruit, some roasty bitterness, slight barrel alcohol. Very nice, although the amount of raisin is not what I expected. Feels pretty straightforward, but does the job.

250 ml. draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Black, deep tanned head. Nose is very rich boozy bourbon, raisin, Snickers & medicinal qualities. Very thick bourbon, sweet chocolate taste, sugar coffee, oily raisin, Snickers dipped in bourbon, mocha, almost faint Mon Chéri, warming, more & more basic bourbon, chocolate kisses, quality Ukrainian chocolate,... Body is chocolate kisses & bourbon. Pleasantly alcoholic tastes like thick bourbon & chocolate bars / chocolate candy. Kees still killing the BA RIS game.

Bottle. Black inky pour. Aroma has boozy licorice, vanilla, red fruit and chocolate. Taste has booze, licorice, charred oak, mild smokey tarr, vanilla, red fruit and some chocolate. I was hoping for more bourbon vanilla flavor, but it’s still a nice boozy beer.
